Next steps:

  • The application will undergo a planning and engineering review by Planning & Development Services, and will provide a recommendation to the Municipal Planning Commission.
  • The Municipal Planning Commission (MPC) will discuss the application at the MPC meeting on November 12, 2025 at 1:30 pm in City Hall Council Chambers. The public is welcome to attend MPC meetings. Subsequently, the Municipal Planning Commission will provide its recommendation regarding the application to City Council (see Public Input, below).

Public input

As prescribed by the Municipal Government Act, when there is a proposed development (with this application, a demolition) for a property which is designated as Direct Control District in Land Use Bylaw #4168, the Development Authority is City Council.

Non-Statutory Public Hearing to be announced

There will be a Non-Statutory Public Hearing by City Council for this proposed development (demolition) at a regular Council meeting. Date to be determined by City Clerk (this notice will be updated).

If you feel you will be affected by this proposed development (demolition), state your position (support or opposition) in person to City Council during the Non-Statutory Public Hearing. Following the Public Hearing, the decision of City Council is final.
