Applications for 2023 City of Medicine Hat development incentives open May 15
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat will be accepting applications for three development incentives starting Monday, May 15 at 9 a.m.
The incentives are designed to encourage development and redevelopment in the community and stimulate investment, create jobs, and support targeted economic growth that would not have otherwise occurred.
“We are pleased to offer the development incentive program again this year,” says City Manager, Ann Mitchell. “These incentives have supported some wonderful business enhancements in our community and even helped new businesses get off the ground. We are excited to see the applications that our business community bring forward this year.”
In 2022, the development incentive program supported local businesses such as: Station Coffee Co., Domain Crossfit, Poolhouse Café & Roastery, Foodland IGA, and Sunday Dinner Home Store.
The 2023 development incentives include:
- Waterfront District Housing Incentive
- Waterfront District Vibrancy Incentive
- Infill Incentive
Businesses can learn more and apply at www.medicinehat.ca/incentives. Applicants that meet the criteria will be accepted on a first come first served basis.
