BATUS Park closed to prepare tree lights for holiday season

Medicine Hat – BATUS park will be closed from 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15 for work to prepare the lights on the large evergreen tree for the holiday season.

Motorists can expect minor traffic disruptions on the southbound westernmost lane on Sixth Avenue SE on the morning of Nov. 14 and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 15. Drivers turning from First Street SE to Sixth Avenue SE should use caution and be prepared for traffic congestion.

The sidewalk on the west side of Sixth Avenue SE from First Street SE to Second Street SE will be closed while work is in progress.

Pedestrians and drivers are reminded to obey signs around the work zone and allow crews the space to work safely.
