Boat lake temporarily closed at Echo Dale Regional Park

Medicine Hat – The boat lake at Echo Dale Regional Park has been temporarily closed as of Wednesday, July 24 to accommodate water quality testing. During this closure, the City of Medicine Hat will be monitoring the water quality in the boat lake to ensure it meets safety standards.

This closure will be in effect until approximately July 31, 2024 to be able to conduct this work without interruption or disturbance of testing and assessment protocols. Park patrons are asked to avoid swimming, fishing and other water activities in the boat lake.

The swim lake remains open to the public and is unaffected by this water quality testing.

The City of Medicine Hat appreciates the patience and understanding of residents and patrons of Echo Dale Regional Park as staff works to ensure the park remains a safe, beautiful amenity for all to use.
