City lifts partial fire ban
Medicine Hat – With the cooler temperatures, recent rain and snowfall, Fire and Emergency Services will lift the remaining fire ban effective immediately. A partial fire ban had been in place since Friday, August 27.
The partial fire ban removes the remaining restrictions in Strathcona Island Park, and the fire pit at in the group camp area at the east end of Echo Dale Regional Park.
As a reminder, all backyard fire pits in Medicine Hat require a permit. Fire pit permits are available from Medicine Hat Fire and Emergency Services. To apply for a fire pit permit, visit the City website.
As a reminder, consumer fireworks are not permitted at any time within the City of Medicine Hat as per Bylaw #4602.
The City of Medicine Hat thanks residents for their patience and understanding.
