City ratifies collective agreement with Local 254 of IBEW

Medicine Hat - The City of Medicine Hat has ratified a new collective agreement with Local Union 254 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, which covers 56 employees working in a variety of positions in the City’s Utility Distribution Systems Department.

The previous agreement expired on December 31, 2023. The new agreement is for a four-year term from January 1, 2024 until December 31, 2027.

The agreement includes general wage increases of 2.5 per cent effective January 1, 2024; 2.25 per cent effective January 1, 2025; 2 per cent effective January 1, 2026; and 2.5 per cent effective January 1, 2027.
