City ratifies new collective agreement with Medicine Hat Fire Fighters Association

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat has ratified a mediator’s recommendation resulting in the renewal of the collective agreement with the Medicine Hat Fire Fighters Association.

The previous agreement expired on December 31, 2018.  The new agreement is for a four-year term from January 1, 2019 until December 31, 2022.

The mediator’s recommendation includes general wage adjustments in each year of the agreement, with increases of 1.5% effective January 1, 2019; 1.5% effective January 1, 2020; 2.5% effective January 1, 2021; and 2.5% effective January 1, 2022.
