City Recommends Residents Refrain from Visiting All Outdoor Public Structures, Play Spaces
These locations include:
skate parks (Inland and Saamis Rotary)
outdoor courts (tennis/pickleball courts, basketball courts, beach volleyball outdoor rinks, cricket pitches, etc.)
outdoor sports fields (soccer, baseball, football, etc.)
outdoor kitchens, picnic areas, fire pits, outdoor washrooms
fenced dog off leash areas (Saratoga Dog Park)
“We still want everyone to stay active and enjoy our parks and trail system,” said Scott Richter, Manager of Parks with the City of Medicine Hat. “We just need to be taking the proper precautions and following the guidelines AHS has provided; these play spaces are traditional social gather places.”
The Parks and Recreation Department further recommends that you keep your dog on-leash while on the trail system and to avoid visiting busy parks and trails in order to effectively practice physical distancing.
