City Recommends Residents Refrain from Visiting Public Playground Structures

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat supports Alberta Health Services’ (AHS) direction around physical distancing and, in cooperation with Cypress County, the Town of Redcliff, and the school boards in Medicine Hat and area, continue to work on implementing protective measures to limit the possible transmission of COVID-19.

The City of Medicine Hat highly recommends residents refrain from visiting public playground structures at this time.

The sunshine and fresh air can support positive mental health at this time. We encourage residents to get outside and stay active while maintaining physical distancing at all public outdoor areas. Approximately 1,600 hectares of open park spaces and 115 kilometres of trails and pathways remain available for use.

Refer to the AHS COVID-19 info for Albertans website for all information related to COVID-19 or to the City of Medicine Hat website to direct your inquiries appropriately.

Remember the four Cs:

Calm
Cautious
Courteous
Compassionate
