City, South Country Co-op Partner at FLC

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is proud to announce a new partnership with South Country Co-op in naming rights for the fitness area and indoor track at the Big Marble Go Centre.




Effective immediately, the fitness area will be known as the South Country Co-op Fitness Centre.




The 17,000 square foot facility includes the 200 metre indoor running/walking track and boasts state-of-the-art equipment to best serve the diverse needs of every demographic.




“The Big Marble Go Centre offers a variety of health and wellness programming for everyone,” said James Will, General Manager of Parks and Recreation. “The South Country Co-op Fitness Centre really is a place where everyone, regardless of ability, can feel empowered while working towards achieving their personal goals.”

The Big Marble Go Centre sees 5,200 regular members and 450,000 people visit the facility annually. The South Country Co-op Fitness Centre is uniquely situated, overlooking the double fieldhouse and full quad gymnasium. Patrons are supported by eight trained fitness professionals with a health and wellness-based philosophy.




The City of Medicine Hat and South Country Co-op are committed to building a healthy, active community together. The Big Marble Go Centre is accessible to all members of our community, including the fitness area and track. Specialized equipment can easily be adapted to varying levels of ability.
