Co-op Place to host the Grand Slam of Curling, November 2026

The world’s best curlers are set to return to Alberta as the Grand Slam of Curling announced today that Co-op Place in Medicine Hat will host the second GSOC event of the 2026 season, the GSOC Masters, from November 3-8, 2026. Early-bird full-event and weekend passes are now on sale online and at the Co-op Place box office*.

The GSOC event will feature 16 of the men’s and 16 of the women’s top teams from around the world, including world champions, Olympic medallists, and Canadian favourites. More information regarding teams and schedules will be announced in the coming months.

"It’s crazy to think that the Grand Slam of Curling hasn’t been back to Medicine Hat since 2013, particularly with the city’s passionate curling community and rich history of supporting sporting events," said Nic Sulsky, CEO, The Curling Group. "The Masters will be a showcase of the best the sport has to offer, featuring newly Olympic-crowned champions, Canadian favourites, and curling’s emerging superstars."

“Medicine Hat is excited to welcome the Grand Slam of Curling back to our city after more than a decade. Hosting the GSOC Masters is a tremendous opportunity to showcase the strength of our facilities, the enthusiasm of our residents, and our ability to deliver major events that draw national attention," said Linnsie Clark, Mayor, City of Medicine Hat. "The return of world‑class curling will bring visitors into our hotels, restaurants, and local businesses while creating an unforgettable atmosphere at Co‑op Place and the Medicine Hat Curling Centre. We’re proud to provide a stage where both elite athletes and rising stars can shine, and we look forward to welcoming fans from near and far this November.”

It was also announced today that Medicine Hat will host the U21 Jr. GSOC, which will run November 5-8, 2026, at the Medicine Hat Curling Centre. Featuring 16 men’s and 16 women’s teams, the U21 Jr. GSOC is part of a broader Grand Slam of Curling initiative focused on developing the next generation of curling stars. The men’s and women’s U21 finals will be held at Co-op Place on Sunday, Nov. 8, alongside the GSOC Masters championship games. Teams applications for the event will open in the coming weeks.
