Crews complete repairs on water main break downtown

Medicine Hat – The Environmental Utilities Department has completed repairs on a water main break located in the 400 block alley between 3 Street and 4 Street SE downtown.

Crews worked diligently through the night after shutting down the affected water main in the late evening hours on Thursday.

All affected properties should have water service restored.

With water restored, these affected properties may experience discolouration of the water. They are asked to turn on a cold-water faucet and let the water run for several minutes until the water runs clear.

The City of Medicine Hat would like to thank affected businesses and residents for their understanding and patience as City crews worked to fix the issue in a timely manner.
