Disestablishment Vote of the CCDA

Medicine Hat – Beginning this week, taxpayers of the Business Improvement Area (BIA) levy will be voting for or against the disestablishment of the City Centre Development Area (CCDA).



Eligible voters are offered two dates on which to vote in person at City Hall, Main Floor, Boardroom M1:

Advanced Poll: Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm
Regular Poll: Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm

All public health orders will be followed at the polling station to ensure the safety of the voters and election staff.

“CCDA ratepayers are encouraged to exercise their right to vote in a safe and COVID-compliant environment,” said Jessica Robinson, Returning Officer and Legislative Coordinator for the City of Medicine Hat.

Single use pens will be provided to mark the ballot.

Voters are expected to wear masks, maintain physical distancing and sanitize their hands when entering the polls.
