Maintenance work required on sweet shallow gas well
Medicine Hat – Starting Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, the city will be performing maintenance on a sweet shallow gas well within Police Point Park. The park will be closed to pedestrian traffic during the work which is expected to be completed Tuesday, Feb. 13.
A service rig will be on site along with associated equipment including vacuum trucks, tankard units, and crew trucks.
Residents and motorists along Police Point Drive NE will notice a temporary increase traffic.
The work presents no anticipated danger to residents aside from heavy equipment traffic along Police Point Drive NE.
As the park will be closed to pedestrian traffic, the public is asked to observe a safe distance from the worksite and obey all signage, barriers, and personnel.
