Medicine Hat resident joins Kerby Board of Directors

Medicine Hat – The Kerby Centre Board of Directors, a group of dedicated volunteers who help guide the non-profit organization, are proud to announce a new member has been added to provide a local perspective in seniors’ programming.

Medicine Hat resident Gordon Nott has served on several volunteer boards in the community and is currently Regional Director for Alberta Council on Aging and Chair of the Medicine Hat Senior Citizens Advisory Committee Foundation.

“I look forward to supporting the Kerby administration team here in our city and building upon the opportunities and programs already available,” he said. “Their enthusiastic work to enrich lives within our senior community is inspiring and I cannot wait to start.”

“We offer a sincere congratulations to Mr. Nott,” said Councillor Andy McGrogan, Chair of the Administrative and Legislative Review Committee for the City of Medicine Hat. “By including a local voice of someone who is so passionate about the senior population, we are confident that member needs will continue to be met.”

Medicine Hat staff operate a wide variety of programs at Veiner Centre and Strathcona Centre, as well as the Meals on Wheels program.

“The Medicine Hat community has been very welcoming,” said Larry Mathieson, Kerby Centre CEO. “Our team has created exciting and innovative programs to expand on the already impressive offerings of Veiner Centre.”
