When in drought: don't let your guard down

According to meteorologists from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Medicine Hat just experienced the third-wettest May on record since 1886 with 127 millimetres of precipitation.

While the ground is wet at home, local reservoirs are still below average levels and we rely on the water upstream to ensure we make it through what is predicted to be a hot, dry summer. That's why Medicine Hat remains in phase 1 of the Water Shortage Management Plan and asks residents to voluntarily conserve water. If we do everything we can now, we can avoid more severe restrictions later on. Don't let your guard down, Medicine Hat.
