Nominations for Municipal Election close Monday, September 22

Medicine Hat – Nominations for the election of candidates for the following offices will be received until 12:00 noon on Monday, September 22.

On nomination day, Monday, September 22, applicants may submit nomination packages between 8:30 a.m. and 12:00 noon in Council Chambers, City Hall (580 1st St. SE). Prior to this date, nomination packages may be submitted at the City Clerk’s Office on the third floor of City Hall between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

A minimum signed nomination of 25 eligible electors is required for City Council Mayor and Councillor positions. School Board Trustee positions require 5 eligible electors. 

No cash deposit is required. Emailed or faxed nominations cannot be accepted.
