Portion of Saratoga Trail temporarily closed for drainage work

Medicine Hat – A portion of Saratoga Trail is closed from Nov. 1 to Nov. 15 for work to improve drainage in the area.

The closure begins near South Railway Street SE and continues until just south of the businesses along the Factory Street SE curve.

The work is meant to address ice buildup on the pathway, making it safer for trail users in below freezing temperatures. The trail will be excavated to replace an existing culvert. Paving and erosion control measures will follow and then rehabilitation of the disturbed landscape.

Patrons are asked to follow construction and closure signage in the area for their safety.

The City of Medicine Hat would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding as the necessary improvements are completed.
