Prospect Drive road closure begins July 4

Medicine Hat – Beginning Tuesday, July 4, Prospect Drive between Chinook Drive SW and 6 Avenue SE will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic as crews begin construction on the Prospect Drive Rehabilitation Project.

The project will consist of the removal of the asphalt surface, upgrades to the storm system, sanitary sewer spot repairs, road structure upgrades, replacement of concrete on the curb, gutter, and sidewalk, and final paving.

Motorists are reminded to follow all detour signage and posted speed limits.

The City of Medicine Hat thanks residents for their patience and understanding during the construction of this rehabilitation project which will ensure safe and reliable infrastructure for years to come.
