Reservations open for 2023 camping season

Medicine Hat – Online reservations for Gas City Campground and Echo Dale Campground, for the 2023 camping season will open on Monday, February 6, at 7 a.m.

For both campgrounds, the season will begin on Friday, April 28 and will close Monday, October 9.

Gas City Campground is conveniently located off the Trans-Canada Highway and across from WestVue Dog Park and offers 98 sites that include two comfort cabins. The campground also connects to the city’s Heritage Trail Network, which spans 155 kilometres.

Situated along the South Saskatchewan River valley, Echo Dale Campground offers 10 individual campsites located near a swimming area, a park, volleyball courts, a historic fam with animals, and 8 kilometers of mountain biking trails throughout the natural coulees.

“Both campgrounds have seen a lot of work over the last couple of years and we can’t wait for campers to see the improvements we’ve been able to make at both sites,” said Scott Richter, Manager of Business and Innovation. “We opened up 10 campsites in Echo Dale Regional Park last year and saw how successful it was and we’re excited to build onto that this camping season by opening up one month earlier than last year.
