Residential parking permits available
Medicine Hat – Residents who live within time-restricted parking zones downtown or near the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, the Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre and the Moose Recreation Centre may apply for an unrestricted parking permit.
Current residential parking permits for the downtown zone expire on February 28, 2022 and are now available for renewal. Current permits near the Moose and Hockey Hounds Recreation Centres expire on May 31, 2022.
To apply for a new permit or learn more, visit the City of Medicine Hat www.medicinehat.ca/parking. Applications can be submitted online, or in person at Municipal Works located at 188 Kipling Street SE Monday to Thursday, 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.
A valid driver’s license and vehicle registration is required for each vehicle permit. Additional documentation requirements can be viewed on the website. Permits are only issued for vehicles that are registered to eligible addresses within the Hospital, Downtown or Moose/Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre areas. Each residence is permitted one visitor permit.
