Seasonal Closures of Park Washrooms and Kitchens

Medicine Hat – As summer draws to a close, the following washrooms and facilities will be winterized and closed as of Oct. 10, 2023:

• Saamis Rotary Park washroom
• Police Point West washroom
• Ross Glen Park washroom
• Kiwanis Central Park washroom and shelter
• Kitchenette and shelter in Kin Coulee Park
• Band shelter in Kin Coulee Park
• Skateboard Park in Kin Coulee
• Kin Coulee West washroom
• Lions Park washroom
• Echo Dale Regional Park campground washroom

The following washrooms will remain open throughout the winter months:

• Police Point Park washroom
• Strathcona Island Park washroom (Note: This will be closed once the weather gets cold to avoid freezing lines. Portable toilets will be installed.)
• Toboggan Hill washroom and shelter
• Southview Community Park washroom
• Strathcona Island Park boat launch washroom
• Echo Dale Regional Park – AJAX building and park washroom
• Veiner Centre washroom (Note: Winter hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)

Note: The water tap at Saratoga dog park will also be turned off as of Oct. 6, 2023, to prevent the line freezing.
