Second episode of Public Matters Podcast is now streaming

Medicine Hat – The Public Matters podcast is back with a brand-new episode that explores the ins and outs of road construction and potholes in the city.

In this episode, hosts Mayor Clark and Jay Hitchen are joined by Councillor Alison Van Dyke, Chair of the Energy and Infrastructure Committee, and Pat Bohan, director of City assets, who provide insights into the challenges and opportunities regarding maintaining Medicine Hat’s road infrastructure.

“Everyone in our city relies on our roads and sidewalks – we use them to get to work and appointments, for leisure and so much more. So, we’ve likely all noticed, and maybe even felt a bit frustrated, when our typical route has potholes or cracks, is covered in ice or snow, or is closed during construction season.” says Mayor Linnsie Clark. “In this episode, we talk about the factors that affect road conditions, the strategies we use to maintain them, and how we can all contribute to keeping our roads safe and well maintained.”

The episode covers a wide range of topics, including the impact of weather on road conditions, the role of technology in road maintenance, and some upcoming projects.

With informative and engaging conversations, the Public Matters podcast is a must-listen for anyone who wants to stay informed about the issues that affect their daily lives. Public Matters is available on many popular podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadio , Spotify, Castro, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music and more.
