Seniors Centre operations transitioning to Kerby Assembly

Medicine Hat – Kerby Assembly will assume full operations of the Veiner and Strathcona Centres effective Sept. 1, 2021.

Kerby assumed operations of Meals on Wheels in early August and has been working with the City to transition other areas of business, including programming, volunteer management and facility rentals, through the course of the month.

With more than 45 years of experience as a not-for-profit, multi-service organization, Kerby is committed to enhancing the ability of older adults to live healthy, productive lives with a focus on their mental, physical, social and emotional well-being.

In January 2021, Kerby was awarded a three-year contract to operate the City’s seniors centres, with an option to renew for an additional four terms. The City will retain ownership and responsibility for facility maintenance and management.
