Spring street sweeping schedule set

The City of Medicine Hat has set the 2026 schedule for its annual spring street sweeping program. The program removes sanding materials and debris that have accumulated on roads and along sidewalks and boulevards during the winter months.

The annual street sweeping program starts on Monday, March 30. Please note, dates within the program are weather permitting. Key dates on the schedule are as follows:

Day sweeping
📅 Mar. 30 to Apr. 2 – Arterial and collector roadways
📅 Apr. 6 to 10 (Easter break) – School zones
📅 Apr. 13 to 24 (or until complete) – Arterial and collector roadways

Night sweeping
📅 Mar. 30 to Apr. 24 (or until complete) – Medians, bridges, and boulevards

Residential sweeping
📅 Starting April 27 – Zone 1

The start date for Zone 2 will be provided once work is underway in Zone 1. All other dates for the remainder of zones in the program will follow this process.
