Swearing in of new City Council to take place on Monday, November 1
Medicine Hat – The official swearing in ceremony of the new City Council will take place on Monday, November 1. The ceremony will be followed by an organizational meeting where Mayor-elect Linnsie Clark will confirm the council appointments to each of the standing committees.
With COVID restrictions still in place and reserved seating set aside for guests of Council, there will be limited public seating available. In order to adhere to the capacity limits in the gallery of Council Chambers, there will be approximately 20 public seats available. The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. and these seats will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Current masking restrictions and physical distancing will be in place.
The event will air live on Shaw Spotlight, and be streamed live on the City’s YouTube channel. The video will be archived and available to watch following the livestream.
