Timber boardwalk on Saratoga Trail closed for rehabilitation

Medicine Hat – Work to rehabilitate the timber boardwalk along Saratoga trail is set to begin on September 25, with an anticipated re-opening in October 2023.

The existing timber boardwalk is in poor condition and requires frequent maintenance. To address this, it will be replaced with a new culvert and fresh asphalt, enhancing the overall trail experience for users. See the map for the full extent of the project.

The section of the trail undergoing construction will be temporarily closed. We urge visitors to observe and adhere to construction and closure signage in the area. For more information, please call 403.529.8333.

Updated information will be made available on Trailforks App.

The City of Medicine Hat would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding as the necessary improvements are completed.
