Two-way traffic resumes on Scholten Hill as Carry Drive SE project advances

Medicine Hat – Road rehabilitation on Carry Drive SE moves to the second stage of the project this week, with construction focused on the intersection at Southview Drive SE. Scholten Hill is reopened to two-way traffic.

Underground work, concrete replacement and bottom-lift paving on the first stage from Crestwood Drive SE to Cuyler Road SE are now complete. Top-lift paving, line painting and landscape restoration will occur on the full extent of the roadway in September once the other stages are complete. Schedules are weather dependent.

Detours are in place around the active work zone and flag personnel may be present. Motorists are reminded to obey all posted signs and use caution in the construction areas.

The full extent of the four-stage project, which is expected to conclude in September, reaches from the top of Scholten Hill to the Cameron Road SE intersection.
