Medicine Hat. – With many of the COVID restrictions now lifted, the City of Medicine Hat is pleased to announce the gala event for the 2021 Community Spirit Awards will take place on Thursday, May 19, at the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre.

Medicine Hat. – Staff with the Parks & Recreation Department were made aware of a moose located inside the WestVue dog park over the weekend.

In accordance with section 68 of the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, the City of Medicine Hat has been issued an approval by Alberta Environment and Parks for a renewal of an approval to apply pesticides (Reward Aquatic Herbicide) within Celebration Park Pond and Southridge Park Pond for the control of aquatic vegetation and algae. The Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act may provide you a right of appeal against this decision to the Alberta Environmental Appeals Board.

Medicine Hat. – Registration for spring and summer recreation and leisure programming at city facilities, including Big Marble Go Centre, Crestwood Recreation Centre and outdoor pools, opens on Tuesday, March 22, at 7:00 a. m.

Medicine Hat. – Property Assessment Notices will begin arriving in resident’s mailboxes beginning March 16, 2022.

Medicine Hat. – City staff continue to review additional waitlist numbers ahead of the spring registration, taking place later this month.
