Campaign disclosure statements due
Medicine Hat – Medicine Hat election candidates must submit their revenue and expense disclosure statements by March 1, 2022 to avoid a late filing fee.
“Municipal election candidates are required by legislation to file their campaign disclosure statements with my office before 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1,” said Angela Cruickshank, Returning Officer. “Campaign disclosure records include a list of campaign contributions such as revenues, donations and expenses. That requirement is in force for all candidates, even those that self-funded their campaigns.”
Candidates who fail to file their statements, or who are late in filing their statements, will be charged a late filing fee of $500.
Candidates can access the form and a guide to help fill out their statement at: www.medicinehat.ca/election.
School Board candidates must file their campaign disclosure statements with the Secretary-Treasurer of the School Board for which they ran.
