Crestwood Rec Centre extends hours, adds evening programs
Medicine Hat – Beginning Monday, May 2, Crestwood Recreation Centre will be extending its hours of operation to be able to offer additional programs in the evenings.
The facility will be open from 5:45 am to 8:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, and from 5:45 am to 6:00 pm on Fridays. This includes the pool, fitness area and racquetball court.
“We know residents have been eager to have the pool open later in the evenings and we’re thrilled to be able to offer the community more opportunities to use the pool and fitness areas,” said James Will, Director of the Parks & Recreation Department. “The extended hours will allow time for school and community groups to access the pool as well.”
Additional lane swim times have been added, as well as public swimming times and an evening aqua fit class. A new yoga class scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays will welcome members of all ages and abilities. For more information on these programs, and to register, visit the City website.
With the extended hours, the Medicine Hat Waves swim club will also return to Crestwood Rec Centre, holding practice from 4:30 pm to 6 pm throughout the week.
