Downtown road closures for special event

Medicine Hat – The annual Chili Cook-Off is hosted by the Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Collective downtown on Saturday, July 13, 2024 and will impact traffic.  

To facilitate the event, Second Street SE from South Railway Street SE to Fifth Avenue SE, and Sixth Avenue SE from First Street SE to Third Street SE will be closed from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Third Street SE remains closed for the ongoing deep utility upgrades.

Motorists are reminded to obey all posted signs and to take extra caution while driving downtown due to an increase in pedestrian traffic.
