Traffic light installation coming to 3 Street downtown
Medicine Hat – Traffic lights will be installed at two intersections along 3 Street SE in downtown Medicine Hat this coming weekend.
Crews will begin traffic light installation at the 3 Street SE intersections of 5 Avenue SE and 6 Avenue SE beginning Saturday, December 7 at 7 a.m. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed by 7 p.m. that day. However, some work may be required on Sunday, December 8.
During this installation, a phased approach to lane closures will be taken at these intersections to accommodate required work. Please proceed with caution in the area and obey posted signage.
This work is in conjunction with the conclusion of 2024 work on the 3 Street SE Downtown Utility and Surface Upgrades project. The traffic lights will replace the temporary three-way stop signage at these two intersections.
