Fire Codes Permits and Inspections

We work in partnership with businesses, building owners and managers to ensure the safety of employees, customers and members of the public.

Alarm systems

Alarm Systems Bylaw #3716 helps to reduce the number of times emergency services are dispatched to false alarms.

Many systems are prone to false alarms, which prompt the immediate dispatch of police and/or fire resources.

The bylaw includes information about registering alarm systems and outlines penalties for repeated false alarms.

Alarm systems must be registered prior to being activated.
