25 new acts coming to the Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre
The Esplanade Arts & Heritage Centre has announced its new lineup of performing arts entertainment for the 2026/27 season. Esplanade Members receive first access to purchase their favourite seats at Early Bird Prices starting Wednesday, May 6. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday, May 8.
The 2026/27 season lineup features 25 shows across 13 genres, including musical performers, circus acts, theatrical presentations, illusion, comedy, family programming, and more. Some of the diverse offerings include:
- A true crime retelling of the Lizzie Borden story in Bury the Hatchet
- Legendary rock guitarist Tom Morello
- Iconic Canadian comedian Brent Butt
- Illusionist Darcy Oake
- Shows from JUNO-Award winning country artists William Prince and Donovan Woods
- Ushering in the holiday season with shows from Matt Dusk and Michelle Wright
- Exciting children’s shows – Sesame Street Live, Beauty and the Beast, and Rumpelstiltskin
“There’s something truly special about experiencing live performances, and this season offers many opportunities for residents to get out, be entertained, and create memorable moments with friends and family,” said Lauren Thomas, Entertainment & Event Coordinator with the City of Medicine Hat. “From big-name performers to engaging family shows, it’s exciting to see such a wide variety of experiences available right here in our community—giving people the chance to discover something new, share in live entertainment, and make the most of what the Esplanade has to offer.”
Early Bird Pricing is also available on participating events for a limited time and a limited quantity. Watch for the Early Bird icon on promotional graphics.
The beloved On-Stage Series is also back with four shows spanning the folk, Americana, and classical genres. Four-packs are available at a discounted price.
