Community Vibrancy Grant application window re-opens
The City of Medicine Hat has begun accepting applications for the Community Vibrancy Grant’s Community Project and Activities funding stream. The latest application window focuses on projects and activities which take place in 2027.
“The City of Medicine Hat understands the vital role community projects and activities play in bringing people together. They enrich daily life, encourage engagement, and cultivate a strong sense of belonging in a community that is caring, inviting, resilient, and abundant with opportunities,” said Aaron Nelson, Acting Director of Community Development. “We appreciate the longstanding community benefit that recipients of this grant program have historically brought to Medicine Hat. We look forward to that trend continuing in 2027 and beyond.”
The Community Project and Activities application window has $55,000 in funding available for 2027. Applications will be accepted until Friday, August 28, 2026 at 3 p.m.
Applicants are encouraged to fully read the City’s grant funding guidelines and criteria to ensure their project and application meet the program objectives and eligibility criteria.
Applications for the Annual Festivals and Special Events stream (larger-scale events) will be accepted in 2027 for 2028-29 festivals or events. Funding for 2026-27 events was awarded in 2025.
