Demolition set for two unused Kipling Street buildings
Two unused buildings along the south side of Kipling Street SE are set to be demolished. Demolition will take place from August 10 to 12.
The two buildings, located at 345 Kipling Street SE, had once served as a locomotive storage building and salt shed, respectively. The buildings have deteriorated to the point where demolition is required to ensure public safety.
During demolition, a section of trail running along the south side of the site will be closed. See the map below to view the site of the demolition and extent of the trail closure.
There are no impacts to motorists travelling along Kipling Street SE during demolition. Weather permitting, crews will complete the work, and the trail will reopen by end-of-day on August 12.
The City of Medicine Hat would like to thank residents for their patience and understanding during the demolition process.
