Phase 2 of public engagement now open for Riverside Corridor Enhancement Project

The City of Medicine Hat has launched the second phase of public engagement for the Riverside Corridor Enhancement Project. The project focuses on roadway renewal, deep utility upgrades, and safety improvements for Third Street North, an approximately two‑kilometre corridor through the historic Riverside neighbourhood.

Please note, no decisions have been made yet. Phase 2 provides residents with an opportunity to provide feedback and influence through an in-depth survey and several open houses. Riverside business owners and residents will continue to be engaged directly as those most impacted by this project.

“Third Street North is a key connection through Riverside, and future improvements need to reflect the diverse needs of those who live, work, and travel through this neighbourhood every day. Initial feedback has already helped inform revisions to the proposed design,” said Pat Bohan, Managing Director of Development and Infrastructure. “Phase 2 is a chance to continue that conversation in more detail. Community input remains a critical part of this process as we refine project options and evaluate next steps before any decisions are made.”
