Road restrictions: Santa Claus Toy Run parade
The public is advised of upcoming traffic restrictions which will be in effect for the Santa Claus Toy Run motorcycle parade. Parade route
- Exit Trans-Canada Highway northbound onto Dunmore Road SE
- Northbound on Dunmore Road SE until 21 Street SE
- Eastbound on 21 Street SE, finishing at the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds
Traffic restrictions
Traffic restrictions will be in effect until all bikes complete the parade route. The northbound lanes on Dunmore Road SE will be closed between the Trans-Canada Highway and 21 Street SE. 21 Street will also be fully closed to traffic until the parade is complete. Motorcycles will serve as barricades at intersections, and traditional traffic accommodation equipment may not be present.
The northbound lanes of Dunmore Road SE and 21 Street SE will progressively re-open as the parade advances. Once motorcycles are through an intersection, that block will re-open to motorists. Southbound traffic on Dunmore Road will be unaffected during the parade, except when attempting to make lefthand turns.
All closures are expected to be re-opened approximately within one hour.
Motorists are asked to proceed with caution in the area during the parade, and allow time for a longer commute.
