Paying a Parking Ticket

You may pay a parking ticket:

  • In person at City Hall cashiers by cash, interac or cheque
  • By mail to City Hall, 580 First Street SE, Medicine Hat, T1A 8E6 (enclose the parking ticket and cheque)
  • By dropping a sealed envelope in the night deposit box at the west entrance of City Hall (enclose parking ticket and cheque or exact cash)

Cheques are payable to City of Medicine Hat.

Example: a ticket received on a Monday must be paid by the following Monday

8-21 days

22 days or more

After 22 days or more, we can no longer accept your payment at City Hall. You will receive a summons in the mail with a court date to appeal the ticket. You may still pay before appearing in court, but payment is now due at the Provincial Courthouse. The summons will include payment options.

Appeal or dispute your parking ticket

Appeals are due within 14 days of the issued date.

If an appeal is made within 7 days of issue date, the cost will stay at $25 whether the ticket is cancelled or denied.
