Council Highlights

During the November 10, 2025 City Council Meeting, Council received presentations about the 2025-2026 City Budget and the Energy Production and Distribution business unit. These presentations were designed to provide Council with an understanding of the budget framework, the key components that have been included in the 2026 approved budget, additional insights into the City's financial position, as well as an overview of the rate based energy production business units. The intention of these presentations is to give Council the background and context needed to make informed decisions during the upcoming meetings related to the 2026 budget updates.

Under Councillor Announcements:

• Councillor Sharps shared that she and Mayor Clark had the opportunity to meet with Just Serve, a group that coordinates volunteer opportunities within Medicine Hat, and encouraged the community to visit their website.

• Energy, Land and Environment Committee Meeting Minutes of July 17, 2025
• Municipal Planning Commission Meeting Minutes of July 16

Council held a Special Meeting on July 25, 2025 to discuss a Personnel Matter and sought legal advice over the weekend. On July 28, 2025, Council held another Special Meeting to discuss a Personnel Matter.

• Councillor Robins congratulated Medicine Hat’s U13 Sundevils Black who won the Alberta Lacrosse Association Provincial B Championship over the weekend.
