Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat has reviewed the updated restrictions provided by the Province of Alberta and is working to reopen our recreation facilities to the greatest extent possible on Monday, February 8, 2021. The Big Marble Go Centre will reopen for pre-registered minor sports, club bookings and private rentals, for one-on-one training by certified coaches, as outlined in the new guidelines.
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat has successfully closed on the sale of the non-operated working interest in the Glauc C oilfield. .
Medicine Hat – The Kinsmen Aquatic Park and the Cenovus Arena at the Big Marble Go Centre will undergo annual maintenance as the provincial restrictions remain in place. This annual maintenance is necessary to help ensure the facility remains at the highest possible standard for the community.
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat, through its Energy & Utilities Division, continues to explore commercial opportunities to evolve its asset portfolio when economic advantages are evident. Starting in 2017 with the Horizon disposition of all non-operated gas properties in Saskatchewan to the recently announced planned disposition of the city’s interest in the non-operated Glauc C oilfield, the city is executing on the strategic vision of its administrative and political leadership.
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat has completed the installation of a new water treatment system at the Big Marble Go Centre as part of an on-going effort to find operation cost savings and efficiencies within the organization. A grant program available through the Municipal Climate Change Action Centre (MCCAC) provided $29,200 towards the total investment.

The City of Medicine Hat submitted five projects for consideration, and has received approval to proceed with the projects as submitted.
Medicine Hat – In accordance with the additional province-wide restrictions announced by the Government of Alberta, the City of Medicine Hat will close all entertainment, cultural and recreational facilities effective Sunday, December 13, 2020. These mandatory restrictions include art galleries, museums, gyms, studios, fitness and recreation centres, as well as indoor rinks and arenas.
Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat is issuing a safety warning to residents who have received services provided by Water World 2062939 ALBERTA LTD. , also known as “Water World Tubs. ”. Hot tubs, spas or swimming pools that were incorrectly installed or serviced may present an unsafe condition, posing a safety risk to persons or property.
Medicine Hat – On Monday, December 7, City officials will present the 2021 Budget Update to City Council for approval. The 2021 Budget Update reflects the City’s enhanced Accelerated Financially Fit Initiative, which aims to address a $23M gap created by the loss of oil and gas dividend revenues from City-owned assets.

With enhanced public health measures coming into effect on Friday, November 27, businesses are to determine the allowance by viewing the posted load and reducing it to 25%.
Medicine Hat – In accordance with enhanced public health measures outlined by the Government of Alberta, the City of Medicine Hat will be suspending all group activities currently taking place at the Big Marble Go Centre, Kinplex Arena, Hockey Hounds Recreation Centre and Co-op Place, effective Friday, November 27, 2020. The Big Marble Go Centre will remain open to the public and will offer the following public programs:.
Medicine Hat – In following guidance by the Province of Alberta and additional enhanced public health measures, the Veiner Centre will close to the public effective Thursday, November 26 at 3:00 pm. All group activities have been discontinued effective immediately.
