There are options available to ensure continued operations during a postal disruption.
Visit medicinehat.ca/paperless for the following actions and more information on each:
- Utilities - View bills and account balances and sign up for eBilling. First-time registrants will need the access code from their latest statement.
- Taxation - Access account balances. First-time registrants will need the access code from their latest statement. Email tax@medicinehat.ca or call 403-529-8111 if you don't have your access code.
- Accounts Receivable - Sign up for paperless billing.

How can I get mail to City of Medicine Hat during the postal strike?
Mail can be dropped to the City of Medicine through the drop box at the west entrance of City Hall or at City Hall, 580 1 St SE during regular business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Will I still get my bill in the mail?
Your printed bill may be delayed in the event of a Canada Post strike.

Yes, you are still required to pay your bills during a postal disruption.

Are penalties waived for late payments during a mailing disruption?
No. Penalties will not be waived. It is your responsibility to pay your statements and invoices on time despite a mailing disruption.

How can I pay my utility bill during a postal strike?
You can pay your City bill:
- Internet banking or telephone banking
- Automatic Bank Withdrawal
- In person at City Hall, 580 1 St SE during regular business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

- Courier payments to City Hall, 580 1 St SE, Medicine Hat AB, T1A 8E6
How can I get my money owed to me from the City?
Accounts Payable suppliers are encouraged to register for direct deposit, and sign up for EFT.
If required, local vendors may arrange to pick up cheques at 364 Kipling Street SE by calling 403-529-8121. Photo identification must be presented along with an authorization letter from the payee.
Suppliers are asked to email invoices to Accounts Payable at AP@medicinehat.ca.
