Medicine Hat. – Given the rapid spread of COVID-19 and the omicron variant, Medicine Hat Transit is monitoring service levels daily to ensure business continuity.
Through Energy and Infrastructure Committee, City Council approved the 2019 and 2021 Fleet Capital Budget Amendment – Unit #361 and Unit #381. A capital budget amendment is required to seize a grant funding opportunity to replace two airport units by increasing the budgeted amount in 2019 by an additional $151,500. 00 (Unit #361) and by increasing the budgeted amount in 2021 by an additional $470,000. 00 (Unit #381).
Medicine Hat. – The popular and award-winning HAT Smart initiative announces the launch of its 2022 Residential Incentive Program with energy conservation and renewable energy savings for City of Medicine Hat utility customers.
Medicine Hat. – The City will begin urban abandonment activities on uneconomic gas wells in four city parks in the southwest and southeast quadrants of Medicine Hat next week.

Following a public hearing, City Council approved second and third reading of Bylaw #4686, a bylaw of the City of Medicine Hat to amend Bylaw # 1541, a bylaw of the City of Medicine Hat regulating the use of Public and Private Sewers and Drains and the Disposal of Sewage and the Discharge of Waters and Waste into the Medicine Hat Sewer System.
Medicine Hat. – With the cooler temperatures, recent rain and snowfall, Fire and Emergency Services will lift the remaining fire ban effective immediately.
